Chile is going to investigate the espionage accusations against Peru.
After the former Peruvian Officer, Víctor Ariza, was accused of spying in Chile some weeks ago, the Peruvian President, Alan García, said an investigation is the minimum to be expected from a democratic country like Chile.  García added that he is willing to cooperate with the Chilean Government to trial the former officer, after the investigation is completed.

Gastric cancer is increasing in Chileans under 40 years of age.
According to the National Institute of Statistics, or INE, approximately 5,000 Chileans are diagnosed with gastric cancer every year. Fifty percent are under 40 years old – that’s a four percent rise since the 1970s. In addition, the INE reported that this type of cancer is becoming increasingly common amongst women, rising from 30 to 40 percent over the past three decades.

According to Doctor Nicolas Jarufe, at the Universidad Católica, 95 % of the cases would be cured if patients seeked medical treatment at the early stages of the illness.
