Chile’s best tennis player, Fernando González, announced his return to the Davis Cup Team when he was with President Michelle Bachelet at La Moneda Palace.

Fernando González, also known as “El Bombardero de La Reina” (The Bomber of La Reina Borough), had been away from the Davis Cup Team due to disagreements with the head of the Tennis Federation, José Hinzpeter.

President Michelle Bachelet was grateful to Fernando for returning to the country’s Davis Cup Team, but said she was always going to support Chilean sportsmen no matter what. Fernando González will play the match against Israel in March for the Davis Cup Team.
