New Tsunami Alert Called
After the aftershocks that rocked Chile around 11:30 today, a new tsunami alert was called between Los Lagos and Coquimbo. ONEDI called the alert after a magnitude-7.2 aftershock and 6.9 aftershock were recorded in Litertador O’Higgings at 11:39 and 11:55 am respectively.
The tsunami alert will remain until 2pm local time today. Evacuations have begun for those in the affected areas.
